Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC) has pinned medals on senior and retired officials of the Ministry of Information and Culture (MIC) who had a great contribution to national defence and construction over the past 60 years and 35 years.
Handover ceremony was held at the MIC, last Friday, aimed at recognising their great contribution to the cause of revolutionary and national safeguarding movement.
Conferring medal has been made, based on the agreements of the Party Central Committee, Government and the LFNC celebrating the 60th anniversary of the LFNC, last year.
Medals were given to more than 70 senior, retired officials, revolutionary officials and civil servants who have joined the revolutionary movement since 1956.
Mr Tong Yerthor, Deputy President of LFNC representing the Party Central Committee and Government has awarded medals to MIC's officials.
The event was very important milestone of history pinning medals of the 60th anniversary of LFNC, Mr Tong said.
Mr Tong has recalled over the past 60 years of the cause of revolutionary movement and each development period of the LFNC. The Isara medals and labour medals have been awarded.
Attending the ceremony were the members of leading officials of MIC and others senior retired officials.
