The Lao national men football team passed the qualifying round by beating Timor-Leste 6-1 at the final match.
The coach of the Lao national football team ordered his players to win as many goals as possible in the game with Timor-Leste in order to pass the qualifying round and enter the quarter final of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2010.
The final match of the Lao national men football team VS Timor-Leste, at the Km-16 stadium, on 26 October, attracted a large crowd of more than 1,000 audience.
The victory over the Timor-Leste team 6-1 was a pride of the Lao football team and a good response to the cheers of their fan clubs.
The result put the Lao football team in the first place of the qualifying round of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2010 and it is followed by the Philippines.
In the qualifying round, the Lao football team drew 0-0 with Cambodia and 2-2 with the Philippines. As a result, the Lao football team earned five scores, sailing through to the quarter final.
In the quarter final, the Lao football team is placed in group A with Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia, which is a strong group and that it is not an easy task for Laos.
